A couple weeks back I posted a message here to get everyone's input
on a new scanner. My old Microtek POS would never show that it was
connected (even tho it was all the time), and became an unbearable
source of frustration. Several here recommended Epson, among others,
and I am now the owner of a Perfection V500. Doing some cursory
scanning this afternoon just to get a feel for everything, including
the software, and I must say my first impressions are most
favorable. It's fast, the software is actually helpful and seemingly
robust, and it WORKS!! Which for my previous situation, is a major
plus.
Thanks to all who offered their views and experience. Great advice,
deeply appreciated.
