Actually, there is one way to easily distinguish them, which I just
discovered:
Change the smart shape placement options temporarily so that slurs are
far away from the notes. Those slurs which haven't been changed will
move away, while those which have been adjusted will stay put.
Better than nothing, although it sort of doesn't help much either, as
one cannot actually adjust them from their current position.
You know what I mean.
