Ryan, This works for me, though occasionally I have to click the paste twice, or go back and copy the layout from the originally chosen part another time. The only time I have trouble otherwise is when Finale loses its Automatic Update Layout preference (that does happen from time to time), and you have to reset that, or update the layout manually (Command U). Other than that, I have no helpful ideas.
