There was a now-dead convention in the 70s for naming a stack of 4ths, like G C F from the bottom up, as G4, so I wouldn't care to use that in a chart I was sending off. Likewise, C2 has at least two different definitions these days, so I would make sure I defined it if I was going to be using it.
