If I understand you correctly, in Speedy (which is the only method I use for entry): CTL-6, 4 (creates eighth note sextuplet) backspace (program remembers it's a sextuplet) 6. (dotted half) Repeat sequence, 0 to exit Speedy, add your slashes. Drag/drop works fine.
