maybe not a concern for you, but last year when i had to split a big 
file because i ran out of frames, i duplicated the file and kept the 
layout identical in both.  that way, the page numbering and measure 
numbering was intact (obviously i know i could change this manually). 
i found it useful, when i want to "go" to whatever page in the score, 
it is the same page (#) in the file.

in my case, it was useful also because i kept at least 10 pages on 
either side of the break to give me flexibility in generating the PTs 
(where to make the break).

also no fighting with page layout / margins etc.

i wrote up a sheet to know what pages (SC+PTs) had to be printed and 
it went smoothly.  if it was easy enough for 60 parts (!), i suppose 
it should be even easier with "normal" orch scores.
