Hi all, FinWin2014. For those following this saga, I ended up having to create a "parts score" because the independent time sigs cause all the spacing to go haywire. This project is at the end and everything is due tonight.
Issue 1 I have a problem with staff naming in this rather messy set of parts. There are duets and trios which the composer wants shown in the parts. So the parts run the usual single line and then explode for a few measures each. So the parts are groups with most staves hidden with staff styles, except in those places. Likewise, the only place the part names are to show is in these duets and trios. == Staff style to show the part name (nothing happens, and nothing is in the undo list except modify staff style, though it works on the score). == Expression (it then appears in all parts and doesn't seem to have a staff assignment list; I have to hide it one by one each time in every part). == Text block (same problem, complicated by the fact that no text entry block appears -- I have to double-click-drag an invisible rectangle with no handle, leave the text tool, return to the text tool, and the handle appears, which I can then click on and enter text). So I'm really tired and probably forgetting something. How can I create and assign something to a single part? Issue 2 The page numbers on the parts start go -1, 0, 1... It's probably related to the fact that the score numbering starts on page 3 after the introductory material. How do I fix it? Issue 3 For the future, as I created a complicated staff style to do this. Is there any easy way to reduce the size of just one or two measures in a staff?
