Recreating a template for a new version is a tortuous and torturous task.
Robert Patterson's Scrapbook Setting plugin just doesn't seem to work for
me, and I'm not sure it's comprehensive enough to completely recreate a
template with all one's refinements.

If someone came up with a plug-in that did this reliably, I'd pay good money
for it. I've requested this from the Finale developers, but they didn't
bite.

|when i had to do this, i simply took screenshots of every possible page in
the
|document options, opened my finale doc in the main screen and the images on
|my smaller screen and hacked through transferring the settings one by one.
yuck.
|
|thought i was being clever by naming all the screenshots (ties_short,
|ties_medium, etc.) - i was to a degree, but should have prefixed numbers to
them
|(1a_xxx, 1b_xxx, ...) so they would be listed alphabetically corresponding
to the
|order in which they appear in the dialogue tabs
