If you set the Playback options to "Always Start At Current Counter Setting" then you can see what the elapsed time is for the start of any measure simply by changing the measure number in the Playback counter panel. The time displayed in the Time: portion of the Playback toolbar changes with each change in measure number, so you wouldn't need to have it display in the score, especially if you don't want it to display in the final score. The time does change in response to any changes in tempo in the score which have been defined for playback. -- ***** David H.
