My setup: OS X 10.1.4, Dev. Tools Dec. 2001, very latest fink,
selupdated via cvs almost everyday for the past months!
I was out of town over the weekend, and yesternight, when I got home,
I let my computer selfupdating. And there were quite a few packages to
update!!!
They all compiled and installed beautifully. I checked everything this
morning and all seemed to work well: X-Darwin, gnome, the Terminal,
and so on. Then I went to work, and this evening, after rebooting (I
like to reboot every now and then), I observed something weird in the
Terminal. This is what I get right after doble-clicking the Terminal
icon:

Firstly, the message about tcsh before the prompt is very suspicious,
since I've never chosen tcsh, nor have I ever changed the defaults
setting for OS X.
Secondly, it seems the perl script for fink can't find some directories.
Thirdly, a fink selfupdate now returns this:

I will now run the cvs command to retrieve the latest package
descriptions.
The 'su' command will be used to run the cvs command as the user
'ramiro'.
After that, the core packages will be updated right away; you should
then
update the other packages using commands like 'fink update-all'.

What's wrong? The only thing I did was to selfupdate my fink
distribution on Sunday evening, and "fink update-all" afterwards,
which worked perfectly.
