Hi Ranger Rick and Alexander: I was alternately using apt-get, dselect and fink-commander-0.3.0-bin.
I've got a DSL connection, so speed isn't really an issue except during the peak times of the day. Thanks for telling where I can delete. See also other email I just sent.
