Hi:
I used fink to get the KDE now available for Mac. I was running out of
disk space, so it was a process of trying to install - bombing, making
space, installing again. I used to have a working X and Gnome. KDE
required updating the
X version. I tried to remove Gnome components to make more space and
ravaged my disk to find more.
At this point I'm unhappy, instead of having a working KDE, I don't even
have X working and only pieces of gnome are gone.
HELP!!
I tried starting over and reinstalling the packages and it wouldn't
update them because at least the part fink knows about is there.
BTW, I love fink and making it better, it would be a nice feature if
fink checked for unpacked size available.
Also, why can't I remove the dependencies of components also?

This is what X does, reported in the console.
It doesn't even get to the ~/.xinitrc
and create the /tmp/kde.log
