I apologize in advance in this topic has been commented before. I own a G3 and a dual G4, and I perform a fink cvs update every other day. The G3 runs X 10.1.5, and I�ve been able to compile and run KDE very smoothly. However, the G4 runs Jaguar 10.2.1. As the compilation failed, I installed KDE on it from the recently-stable binary distribution. But whenever I start the X-Window server, I get two error messages: "kdeinit couldn't start" and "ksmserver couldn't start", both telling me to check my installation. After them, XDarwin just quits. I checked those programs and they are inside /sw/bin with correct privileges.
So I wonder if current KDE is incompatble with Jaguar, or if it's just me who is missing something here. (I followed the documentation in fink site). Any ideas?
