I tried searching the archives, but it didn't give me any results. I even tried searching for things that I knew would return results (fink, install, etc.). Nothing.

I'm really rushed and have spent hours trying to sort this out. I just want some basic HTML indenting to be added on to my emacs (21).
all the options are so damn confusing, partly because I'm in a rush, and partly because the instructions don't cater to setting it up with fink and os X, and I'm unclear how to adapt the path, etc.
How the hell do I add a "major mode" add-on like html-helper-mode???
I'm sorry for begin whiney, but I'm so irritated. I must just not be looking for the correct thing...there must be instructions out there somewhere for getting emacs to be HTML-editing-friendly when using emacs with fink...right??
please, any pointers would be greatly appreciated.
thanks,
jonathan
