Ah, thanks for the detailed answer. Perhaps another stupid question, 
but is anyone working on getting gimp 1.3.x in fink or are those who do 
this stuff waiting for a non-developer preview version? OpenOSX.com is 
selling a version of it for download/on CD and I'd like to try it, but 
am less interested in paying for it (who wants to pay for a developer 
preview of anything? Oh, yeah, there was OS X itself ;^)
