this post is somehow the continuation of the post named : apple x11 fink ktouch
mac os 10.3.2 fink 0.17.4 dev tools apple x11 x11sdk
i couldn't install the ktouch software from binary so i tried from source.
fink downloaded a lot of things, including xfree86 4.3, complied the whole afternoon, and the result is that i don't have any soft marked as installed.
apple x11 can't be launched, it exits with:
XFree86 Version 4.3.0 / X Window System (protocol Version 11, revision 0, vendor release 6600) _XSERVTransSocketINETCreateListener: ...SocketCreateListener() failed _XSERVTransMakeAllCOTSServerListeners: server already running
Fatal server error:
Cannot establish any listening sockets - Make sure an X server isn't already running
OsVendorFatalError
AbortDDX
Quitting XDarwin...
