Wow thank you...I should have thought to something like this on my own...

Tcsh was the process which prevent X11.app to launch (isn't bash the 10.3 default shell?, so why tcsh? it's a mystery to me)
now I can launch X11.app properly.


BUT, still now, there is no binary available from fink. Is it because of 10.3, most binaries have been compiled for 10.2.

I don't dare to install anything from souce, because I don't feel like reinstalling the whole once again. Is there a way to know fink won't download things which are already on my box ( like Xfree86)?

You should take this seriously: You cannot start the X server twice for a given DISPLAY. You probably have one X11 process running that is half crashed but not gone away. You have to kill this first before trying again. If you don't know how to use "ps auxww" and "kill -9", use the Activity Monitor from /Applications/Utilities. Or log out.
