Along the same line of question, I have not been able to change the
default shell from bash to tcsh in X Window under 10.3. I was able to
change that in the Apple Terminal application. I also changed the
default shell under my log-in account with NetInfo. Neither of that
changed the default shell when I get into the X Window system.
Can anyone help me with that simple question? Thanks.

I'm not sure why Apple switched to bash. All the bash-related stuff
on the Fink pages applies to both 10.2.x and 10.3.x, in any case.
If you upgrade from 10.2.x to 10 3.x current user accounts will keep
whatever default shell they had, so if you don't want to switch you
don't have to.
