I fixed the /list.sources file as Alexander corrected and then ran the commands that Benjamin suggested below and got this:
You might want to run `apt-get -f install' to correct these:
Sorry, but the following packages have unmet dependencies:
guile: Depends: guile-shlibs (= 1.4-17) but 1.4-27 is to be installed
pilot-link9: Depends: pilot-link9-shlibs (= 0.11.8-1) but 0.11.8-11 is to be installed
qt3: Depends: qt3-shlibs (>= 3.2.3-23) but 3.2.3-13 is to be installed
Depends: qt3-designer (>= 3.2.3-23) but 3.2.3-13 is to be installed
Depends: qt3-linguist (>= 3.2.3-23) but 3.2.3-13 is to be installed
Depends: qt3-doc (>= 3.2.3-23) but 3.2.3-13 is to be installed
xine-ui: Depends: xfree86-base-threaded-shlibs
Depends: xfree86-rootless-threaded-shlibs
E: Unmet dependencies. Try 'apt-get -f install' with no packages (or specify a solution).
I'm in dependency hell!! Oh well, better have another piece of pumpkin pie....
You must have something that's got old messed up dependencies, if I had to guess.
What does it try to remove if you run "sudo apt-get -f install" ? (you can hit "n" before it actually removes anything)
