Hi Alexander,
Back from along vacation and ready to get to it again! I tried starting esound
in terminal before starting x.org and I get "no command found". Since esound
is Xwindows dependent (it seems) I feel really stupid and still don't know
what to do.
Also, when I run konqueror it opens endless windows until it crashes and I
have lost all my bookmarks in both it and Mozilla. Any ideas anyone?
PS. kmail has decided to work now after no fault of my own. Oh well.
Brian
'esd' is the name of the esound daemon.
Not sure about the bookmarks thing--the endless windows may be due to saved session information--you might need to purge your old session stuff via
rm -rf ~/.kderc ~/.kde
