Hello, I am new to the list, and frankly new to Macs. Just got an iMac
yesterday (most Windows user up until now).

I installed Fink tonight and FinkCommander. I used FinkCommander to try
install xchat-ssl. First I started with xfree86, as recommended in the
documentation. (I have OS X 10.3.7) After installing xfree86, I tried to
install xchat-ssl. (All installs were from binary files.) FinkCommander
told me install was successful. However, I cannot seem to launch it.

I didn't specifically install gtk, but it seems to be installed.

How should I launch xchat, then? Maybe I'm not launching it correctly? (I
have a moderate amount of experience with Linux as an end user and actually
set up a Gentoo system about a year ago...but feeling a bit clueless at the
moment...)

Appreciate any tips or pointers...

Thanks,
