Thanks Brian, I did exactly as you described below.  When I type evolution at 
the prompt, I just get and error that reads "Command not found".

I want to thank all of you for your support, but I will not be trying to 
install 
evolution 1.4.6 due to its inability to connect to an exchange server.  I 
really 
need the lastest version 2.0.4.  However, all the compiling that needs to be 
done will probably claim one of my weekends.

Do you think that the maintainer could put a binary together for this version?
