I see similar problems on the list, but not quite mine.  I get the following buildlock error when I run "fink -y update-all"  This is on my brand new Intel MacBook.  I installed the recent versions of X11 and XCode tools w/OS X 10.4.5  The fink files were transferred from an old G4 PowerBook running 10.3.9.  Many other things don't work, but I'll start with this since it may be the root problem?

Should I just delete my /sw folder and start over?

Thanks,
Andrew

P.S. self-update works, incidentally

Can't set build lock for freetype2 (2.1.4-11)

If any of the above dpkg error messages mention conflicting packages or
missing dependencies -- for example, telling you that the package
fink-buildlock-freetype2-2.1.4-11 conflicts with something else -- fink has
probably gotten confused by trying  to build many packages at once. Try
building just this current package freetype2 (i.e, "fink build freetype2").
When that has completed successfully,  you could retry whatever you did that
led to the present error.

Regardless of the cause of the lock failure, don't worry: you have not wasted
compiling time! Packages that had been completely built before this error
occurred will not have to be recompiled.
