Are you sure you want to install vtk-4.2.5? This is a very old version
that sits around for compatibility reasons only. What you probably want
is version 5.0 which comes in the vtk-py23 and vtk-py24 packages.

This looks like something from the deeper innards of C++. Maybe it's
related to your having an extra libstdc++.dylib? What xcode dev tools do
you have installed, anyway?
