I had no problem on 10.5.2/intel either.
I think the bug is somewhere else, not in Fink nor in the wise2 package.

I don't see any "unlimit" in the wise2 sources. I suspect that this 
"unlimit" is hiding in one of the shell startup scripts, either in the 
user's ~/.cshrc or in some /sw/etc/profile.d/*.csh script installed by 
some other Fink package.

This is another hint that there is an "unlimit" or "limit" in ~/.cshrc 
or some other csh startup script.
