Dave, I am a bit worried about two things, both because I don't really understand the Unix system all that well. 1) I have already installed MacTeX and have the typesetting system working on my computer. What happens if I install things like tetex-base? What is it? Is it not included in MacTex? Will it be installed in a different directory on the computer? 2) Again, ghostscript has already been installed, apparently by MacTex (or perhaps I used Fink a while ago...I can't remember). What happens if I rather precariously install multiple versions? Is Fink smart enough to step around that? Thanks!
