Hi, it seems that one cannot do a fresh installation of Fink on Snow Leopard (10.6.1). At least I do not seem to be able to find any information on how to do so.
I downloaded the Fink binary 0.9.0 Intel, but after unpacking and running the install manager, the install process stops at the very beginning, saying that the package is for Mac OS X 10.5 and that it can not run under the current OS version (namely my 10.6.1). I found plenty of information on how to upgrade and existing Fink installation after upgrading Mac OS X from 10.5 to 10.6. But not on how to install Fink afresh on 10.6. My PowerBook Pro 10.6.1 is brand new and does not have any prior Fink installation on it. Has anybody encountered this problem or does anybody have any suggestion? Many thanks in advance.
