I run Mac OSX (10.5.8). I did a 'fink update-all' two days ago which
was successful. However, I have a problem when displaying a
figure using Matplotlib under iPython in that Python crashes with
a segmentation fault. When I removed my matplotlibrc file, the
backend defaulted to the new macosx backend which worked
on the mac, but not from a remote session from Linux. So I
want to get TkAgg working again. I checked other backends
which worked for a simple figure, but I work a lot interactively,
and they require show(), and locked up the session while the
figure was showing. I also check Tkinter and that is installed
correctly (the Tkinter._test() runs fine ). So I am a bit stuck.
Any suggestions short of reinstalling matplotlib from scratch ?
