I installed a second python version using FINK. I think some parts I  
wanted were left out in the OSX version. So I don't think that's a  
problem.

I don't know. Ok. I tried. ipython run /sw/bin/python2.5 (which is  
version 2.5.5). Same problem.

> And have you checked with the matplotlib-py* Fink maintainer?
No, is that the normal way to go about problems like this? I'll  
contact him/her but wait a few more hours.
