Dear Alexander et al: I just reproduced this. Indeed, it builds with python2.7 and 2.6 but not with 2.5. Given that python is now in version 3, and there is very little maintenance of the non-commercial version of pymol code (the original author passed away last year), may I suggest we restrict this to python 2.7 and 2.6?
