Ok... Clarification of that statement. I was pretty sure that running bootstrap was creating the /._. and /._sw files, so I ran "mkdir /sw" prior to running bootstrap, thinking that an existent /sw directory would alleviate the need for bootstrap to create a new directory (and possibly not create those root level files). Unfortunately, even then bootstrap, creates those 2 files. (plus a few ._ files inside /sw)
