This has nothing to do with Mac OS X 10.1. I am installing Fink on Mac OS X
10.2 and Mac OS X Server 10.2 using the directions at:

http://fink.sourceforge.net/news/jag-bootstrap.php

Clean installs of the OS. No upgrades. Clean install of Fink. No upgrades.
