that's because conectiva-crystal is not a real package.
try sudo dpkg -r --force-depends kde-icons-crystal, see the user ML "fink install kdebase3-ssl fails" thread.
That's because it seems that only the "Occidental Iso Latin 9"(Lecture de la base de données... 72795 fichiers et répertoires déjà installés.)

How do you do to get accentuated words ? Here's what I get when I set my LANG to fr :
(Lecture de la base de donn�es... 75439 fichiers et r�pertoires d�j� install�s.)
encoding seems to be able to display accentuated caraters. Even the "Unicode"
encodings makes "?" :-(
Now you know the trick ;-)
