No, but you do need to force remove the packages you have already
installed, they are not added if there is already an installed
system-xfree86 or real xfree86 package.

So :
sudo dpkg -r --force-all system-xfree86 system-xfree86-42
system-xfree86-43 system-xfree86-upgrade

And when you run fink list system-xfree86 after that it should properly
detect the one you've got.
