Especially for maintainers it would be nice to have a fink command to remove all (except the essential) packages. Sometimes it happens that I write a info file for a new package, and it builds fine, but only because a needed package already happens to be installed. Package docs are not always clear what other packages are needed, so this is something that gets overlooked. If no packages are present, then any build error will manifest itself.
