You guys are really fast. It helps, of course, if one knows perl, I guess :-) I don't, I have more or less been feeling my way around in the dark. This looks good. In VirtPackage.pm there are two 'print "missing"' where I would have put "missing\n".

Until this version makes it to the masses, my script might still be useful. It does a little more in the case where the X11 installation is not from Apple or totally hosed, but we'll have to see in practice whether it is really useful.
Oh definitely, especially since it will still take a bit for this code to get released, much less make it to stable (or the bindist).
