But to guarantee that they are correct in all situations at all times is impossible. If you require this you cannot ever develop Fink packages like fileutils. Of course someone who tests a new version of "cp" will be careful not to use it deliberately for crucial tasks, but as Matthew's "accident" showed, a sloppily written script such as gcc_select can kill your development environment behind your back.
