Speaking for myself, I can now try to expedite some packages out of
the tracker. Anybody reading this thread who's got a package
sitting
around, please email me (better yet, fink-devel) the tracker ID
number. If the package looks OK to me I'll commit it to my
experimental tree--that way anybody who reads -commits can see the
initial commit of the .info file and thereby engage in a relatively
easy last round of quality control.
I've got two packages that I am hoping to get moving:
http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?
func=detail&aid=1223338&group_id=17203&atid=414256
http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?
func=detail&aid=1210899&group_id=17203&atid=414256
I've got another one that has been in the tracker for so long that I
no longer have a 10.3 system to test it. But it is an update to a
good package, and possibly useful to some people:
http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?
func=detail&aid=1152443&group_id=17203&atid=414256

I'll start on them as soon as I get a moment.
Luckily, I do indeed have a 10.3 drive available, so I can even do
that one.
All right--one question comes up for xfplan
(1) xfce: Lightweight desktop environment (without taskbar)
(2) xfce-taskbar: Lightweight desktop environment (with taskbar)
Is xfce really mandatory?
I honestly don't recall what the details are here. I'm trying to do
an xfplan build without xfce present to see if it still works
properly, but my fink has suddenly become very confused. I removed
xfplan and xfce, editted xfplan.info to remove the xfce dependency,
rebuild xfplan, and now am trying to install it. But fink complains:
% fink install xfplan
Password:
Information about 5125 packages read in 10 seconds.
The package 'xfplan' will be installed.
Failed: Can't resolve dependency "" for package "xfplan-0.1-1" (no
matching packages/versions found)
I've did a fink index, and a fink cleanup, but neither of those
solved the problem. What else can I try?
I've got fink 0.24.10, on OS X 10.4.3.
