I compiled the whole finite element program Melina (Fink package melina, ~ 150.000 lines of Fortran) with it, without any problem. It runs correctly, too, and pretty fast (the iMac/Intel almost as fast as a 2x2GHz G5 with g77). I cheated a little, made a symlink /sw/bin/g77->gfortran, because melina is not yet gfortran-aware. I'll do a comparison with g95 soon.
