[ Sending from the correct address this time :) ] Fair enough. It occurred to me today of course that if I really wanted the old versions I could presumably force-install them anyway. I managed to successfully complete the 8.1 upgrade today after some random bizarreness with a broken 8.0 database (fixed by pg_resetxlog) and duplicate values in the PK of one table (possibly caused by and/or the cause of the previous problem). Everything seems to be working fine now, Postgres-wise at least. Thanks :) -- Nigel Stanger, mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Dunedin, NEW ZEALAND.
