If switching labgl-x11 from glut to freeglut and labgl-x11 is libtoolized, probably best to use a versioned dependency on freeglut (and cascade it upwards). Our freeglut only recently got proper .la support, so if libtooly labgl-x11 links the libtooly one and then something libtooly linking against labgl-x11 does so with only the unlibooly freeglut installed, libtool might puke when it tries to resolve labgl-x11's dependency_libs entry for freeglut's .la.
