Tried that already, didn't help. Now it gets even weirder: This way xfig consistently works without crashing: 1) open xfig (new file) 2) draw something, so I can open the edit dialog 3) open edit dialog 4) close edit dialog 5) open library dialog (working) It doesn't work with other dialogs, but I haven't extensively tested it which other dialogs work as well and which don't. This way xfig consistently crashes: 1) open xfig (new file) 2) open library dialog (crash) Btw. when it works, xfig complains about this: Can't open directory: /sw/share/xfig/Libraries/Fasteners I really don't know what to do about this bug now.
