I'm at a loss for why this keeps happening. My best guess is that Merle was
right and this is some sort of caching bug. But I don't see what's
different between this code and the passwd package or what MacPorts does to
install its use. Is it possible that this uid is transient and that if you
tried to actually build something with the newly installed fink-bld, it
would work out?
