Title: Unable to get update to work in dselect
Hi,
I’m new to fink, but after following instructions and checking that the http proxy server address and port were correct, running update still gives
Err http://fink.sourceforge.net release/main Packages
Could not connect to fink.sourceforge.net:80 (216.136.171.201). - connect (60 Operation timed out)
Err http://fink.sourceforge.net release/main Release
Could not connect to fink.sourceforge.net:80 (216.136.171.201). - connect (60 Operation timed out)
And so on
How else can I get Fink to work? I’m running this via my LAN at a university site, does dselect use non-standards ports to communicate or is there something more simple that I’m failing to do?
Any advice gratefully received
