Hello,

I'm trying to use dselect to replace my ghostscript6 with ghostscript (which
is v7.x). It looks like I have the dependencies right, but (I)nstall won't
do *anything*.

Here's what I did:

* Already had ghostscript6 installed, as well as lots of packages that
depend on ghostscript

* in dselect, said "-" on ghostscript6

* when the dependency issues came up, hit "R" to restore to previous state
* hit - on ghostscript6 in the dependency sublist
* hit + on ghostscript in the dependency sublist
* hit return

* hit "I" for install

Install said it didn't need to download anything, and then it didn't do
anything. It shows that the requested state is different than the installed
state for both ghostscript packages.

One thing I've noticed is that dselect reports "<none>" for the version of
ghostscript (the one that's supposedly 7.x). Also, I think my ghostscript6
was installed by fink install, rather than dselect. Not sure if that
matters.

Can anyone help? I've gone through the entire manual & FAQ and done numbers
searches on the archives.

Thanks,
Avram
