The fact that you share the sw directory with two systems caught my attention. I've got a G4 Cube with Fink, and an original iBook, which is Finkless. The iBook only has a 3 GB hard drive, so I really don't have room to install much extra stuff. The iBook and the Cube are on an Airport Network, so I probably don't want to simply have a sym link to the whole /sw directory, as it'll probably be too slow. I've been pondering installing Fink on the iBook, and using sym links to the Cube for some of the subdirectories under /sw. Could this work? Any clues which subdirectories should be on the iBook, and which ones could be sym links to the Cube? Thanks for all the work the numerous finkers do :) I really appreciate it.
