Hi, I was running Andrew Choi's carbonized emacs21.1, and decided to switch to the fink/X version instead. I downloaded GNU's patch to update my emacs21.1 sources to emacs21.2, created my own emacs21.2 gzipped tarball, and ran "fink install emacs21.
Fink downloaded and installed emacsen-common, and some xlibs, and everything went smoothly (a few warnings about regex.h and others having to fall back to some lesser compilation mode). All went well, but my new emacs21.2 doesn't use the xaw3d widgets (it uses the old xaw widgets). I could have sworn that I saw "configure" check for them, and part of the emacsen-common patch addresses the 3D version of the widget set. Has anyone else seen this? Thanks, Dan PS: Christian Swinehart, if you're reading the fink-users list, just say so, I won't cc you on followups to this thread. -- This email impairs your ability to operate heavy machinery. <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> _______________________________________________ Fink-users mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/fink-users
