I upgraded my KDE after the announcement earlier today. I ran apt-get update and apt-get upgrade as per instructions on the web site. Now KDE is refusing to start up. When executing startkde, here's what I get:
[localhost:~] aleks% startkde dyld: ksplash can't open library: /usr/X11R6/lib/libXinerama.1.dylib (No such file or directory, errno = 2) dyld: kdeinit can't open library: /usr/X11R6/lib/libXinerama.1.dylib (No such file or directory, errno = 2) Warning: connect() failed: : No such file or directory dyld: ksmserver can't open library: /usr/X11R6/lib/libXinerama.1.dylib (No such file or directory, errno = 2) Warning: connect() failed: : No such file or directory Error: Can't contact kdeinit! I had this when I first installed XDarwin and KDE, and the problem was that I didn't have an up-to-date xfree86 installation. I reinstalled xfree86 via Fink and all was well. Now it's back to the error. What gives?
