Hrm... that is incredibly strange.  This is not the first time this has been
reported, but up until now it seemed to be non-reproducable.  The php thing
definitely gives us a lead though...

It's kind of a pain, but in the meantime, you can try downloading the files
from the crypto directory manually, into your /sw/var/cache/apt/archives/
directory, and give it another shot...
