The problem was that I had to patch all of the Makefiles for the libraries,
and I missed one... bet you can guess which one.  =)

I've got an updated postgresql 7.2.1-4 package in experimental if you want
to give it a shot.  If this works for you, I'll put it in unstable.  Thanks
for the help, I built everything on my machine, but you know that things
always go wrong as soon as you try it somewhere else.  ;)
